    PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

     

    Stock secondary drive train tensioning requires the rear wheel to be physically moved forward or backwards as well as aligned side to side. This form of tensioning provides a "static pre-set tension" at best. Acceleration and deceleration create dynamic loading to the secondary drive. The ICE Rotary Tensioner provides an after market dynamic tensioning device that will pre-load the secondary drive with a static tension and provide dynamic tensioning capabilities to accommodate the varying loads. The ICE Secondary Tensioner utilizes A dual spring rotary type action and a bearing mounted chain follower to maintain chain tension. The ICE Tensioner has graduations to adjust the initial static tension. The dynamic characteristics of the ICE Rotary Tensioner provides a self adjusting capability to accommodate dynamic loading conditions experienced while driving. The spring loaded Rotary Tensioner can be adjusted to apply 0 - 45 pounds of chain tension (5-10 Lb. of pre-load tension is recommended). This device can be used with either chain or belt type secondary drives. Depending upon application, simple brackets can be fabricated or the 3 - Piece Clamp can be used for most applications enabling attachment of the tensioner to almost any model or motorcycle. The prepared kits provide hardware for basic installation and probably require adjusting the length of bolts and or spacers.  The rotary tensioner is a structurally solid device and it is guaranteed to out perform anything currently available on the market.
